Cary, NC, September 13, 2023 – Tonight ATC had the privilege to host a clinic for over 50 abilities athletes and volunteers. Before the featured evening match, an exhibition with two Abilities athletes was held on Stadium Court with ball kids and a chair umpire. Thank you to everyone who came out, we loved being able to highlight that tennis is a game for everyone!

Tennys Sandgren defeated Juan Pablo Ficovich in 3-set, with an ending score of 6-2; 4-6; 6-3. Sandgren won 85% of his first serve points throughout the match and will move onto the round of 16. In doubles, Australian duo Andrew Harris and Rinky Hijikata won a tight match 3-6; 6-3; 10-8 to move onto the quarter finals.

We are excited to finish the round of 16 singles matches tomorrow and the quarterfinals of doubles. Play will begin at 3pm on Thursday.
