Cary, NC, August 10, 2023 – In another full day of tennis, 4 singles matches and 4 doubles matches were completed at the Atlantic Tire Championships Summer Series.

In doubles, both the 3 and 5 seeds were upset in close matches. 3-seed Johnson and Patten were upset by Riedi and Ritshard 7-5; 4-6; 1-0(6). Riedi and Ritshard had a total of 6 aces and won 71% of their second serve points. One seed King and Stalder move onto the semifinals in a close two-set match 6-4; 6-4. The semifinals for doubles are set and will be played on Friday.

Tung-Lin Wu defeated Adolfo Daniel Vallejo in a tight 3-set match, 6-1; 3-6; 6-1. Wu saved 75% of his break points (6/8) and also won 75% of his first serve points throughout the match. 5-seed Arthur Cazaux was defeated while 3-seed Liam Broady won his match and will move on. The quarterfinals of singles are set and will be played on Friday. Play will begin at 3:30pm tomorrow.
