Cary, NC, August 11, 2023 – In singles play, Adam Walton, Liam Broady, #4 seed Nicolas Moreno De Alboran, and Patrick Kypson advance to the semifinals after their wins today. Two doubles teams earned spots in the championship match on Saturday as well.

Local player and wildcard, Patrick Kypson, closed out a hard fought second set to beat Tung-Lin Wu 6-3, 7-6(4) to advance to the semi-finals. Kypson had 15 aces and only 1 double fault. Walton won 6-2; 6-4, Broady won 6-3 6-4, and Moreno De Alboran won 6-3; 6-4.

In one half of the doubles semi-finals, Libietis and Walton won 6-3, 6-0. The #1 seed King and Stadler advanced 6-2; 3-6; 10-6, in a close match where they won 77% of all their serve points. Both teams will play in the doubles championship on Saturday after the two singles semi-finals. Play will begin at 3 pm.
