CARY, NC, July 21, 2021 – Day 3 of the Atlantic Tire Championships included three set battles and big serves to finish the day.
In a seesaw third set tiebreaker, American Mitchell Krueger defeated Brayden Schnur of Canada to complete the round of 16. Final score of the match, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(4). Next up, American Christian Harrison defeated Mikael Torpegaard of Denmark, 7-5, 6-2.
Americans Stefan Kozlov and wildcard Govind Nanda both rebounded after losing the first set to record upsets. Kozlov over No. 3 Maxime Cressy, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and Nanda over Brayden Schnur of Canada, 3-6, 7-5, 7-5.
The evening finished with big serve performances from fellow Americans, Christopher Eubanks and Jack Sock. Eubanks earned his spot to the quarterfinals by defeating Sock, 7-6(4), 7-5.
