Cary, NC, August 13, 2023 – Adam Walton defeated 4-seed Nicolas Moreno De Alboran in a 3 hour match 6-4; 3-6; 7-5. Walton saved 2 championship points and, as an unseeded player, defeated the singles 2-seed, 3-seed and 4-seed throughout the tournament.

After the match, Walton said he “can’t wait to be back in a month’s time to play the second Cary event.” After winning his first challenger title, he is “excited for what the future holds” and we are happy to have him back in Cary soon.  

The crowd braved the heat and was electric for the final match today. We hope to see everyone back in September for the 10th annual Atlantic Tire Championships held at Cary Tennis Park.
