CARY, NC, July 20, 2021 – Local fans enjoyed a packed schedule on Day 2 of the Atlantic Tire Championships.
Several collegiate players punched through to the round of 16. Among them, Christopher Eubanks defeated Petros Chrysochos in straight sets. Alongside Eubanks, wildcard Sam Riffice advanced to the next round after facing a match point in the third set against Tatsuma Ito.
In the evening, crowd favorite Jack Sock excited fans after a slow start to win in three sets against Ulises Blanch. The day finished with former UNC Tarheel William Blumberg facing Mitchell Krueger. Blumberg and Krueger split sets before the match was suspended. The match will resume Wednesday, second on stadium court of the Cary Tennis Park.
