CARY, NC, November 10, 2020 – The Atlantic Tire Championships steamed through a full day of matches on three courts today.  Live streaming fans were treated to extended viewing with four of the eight singles matches going to the deciding third set.  Most entertaining was a battle between two former University of Virginia Cavaliers, Brandon Nakashima and Thai-Son Kwiatkowski.  Nakashima won the match, 4-6, 6-4. 7-5.  Equally notable was Qualifier Thomaz Bellucci defeating (5) Mohammed Safwat, 6-7(4), 6-1, 7-6(7).

Live streaming fans also had the opportunity to see ATP (former top 10) Jack Sock.  Sock battled through an unseasonably warm day and formidable opponent in Bjorn Fratangelo.  Sock’s trademark forehand was clutch on the way to a 7-6 (11), 6-3 victory.  Fellow American, Mitchell Krueger cruised to the second round with a win over Elias Ymer, 6-1, 6-2.
