CARY, NC, July 19, 2021 – The Atlantic Tire Championships, a USTA Pro Circuit ATP 80 event, started the singles first round on Monday at the Cary Tennis Park. 

Three Americans advanced to the second round of 32 player draw. Americans Christian Harrison and wildcard Govind Nanda both advanced with straight-sets victories. 

American Stefan Kozlov defeated fellow American Donald Young in a three-set battle. 

Former UNC Tarheel Brayden Schnur of Canada and Denmark’s Mikael Torpegaard rounded out Monday night’s singles winners. 

The Atlantic Tire Championships returns as a series of two tournaments held at Cary Tennis Park. The Atlantic Tire Championships Summer Series runs July 19-25 and September 12-19. Both tournaments are USTA Pro Circuit ATP 80 events.
