CARY, NC, November 13, 2020 – American Denis Kudla continues run through the bottom of the Singles draw.  Kudla defeated Dmitry Popko, 6-4, 6-1.  Kudla has only lost 11 games total in the tournament.  Kudla’s semifinal opponent will be Daniel Elahi Galan, Colombia’s highest ranked player on tour, who won his match 6-4, 6-4 against American Chris Eubanks.

Denmark’s marathon man Mikael Torpegaard played his third three-set match to reach the semifinals against American Brandon Nakashima.  Torpegaard won the match, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.  Torpegaard will face Prajnesh Gunneswaran from India.  Gunneswaran defeated Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci in a very back and forth match among the two left-handers by winning 3-6, 7-5, 7-6(5).

Tomorrow’s Doubles Final is between the No. 1 seeded team of Luke Bambridge (GBR) and Nathaniel Lammons (USA) against Teymuraz Gabashvili (RUS) and Dennis Novikov (USA).  The match is scheduled for 12:00 (noon) local time.
